New West Theatre

New West Theatre is recognized as Southern Alberta’s premier source of dynamic, professional entertainment. For over two decades, the company has presented engaging productions that appeal to a wide range of audiences.

Each year, the season features five vibrant productions: three high-energy music revue shows, one contemporary Canadian theatre piece, and one Theatre for Young Audiences production. In addition to its mainstage offerings, New West Theatre provides year-round theatre classes for students, weeklong summer theatre camps, and a variety of special events.

With its diverse programming, New West Theatre has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality entertainment in Southern Alberta. Audiences travel from Lethbridge, the surrounding region, and beyond to attend performances. Most productions are staged at the Genevieve E. Yates Memorial Centre, in either the Yates Theatre or the Sterndale Bennett Theatre.

New West Theatre operates as a registered non-profit society and charitable organization. Alongside ticket sales, support is provided through government grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donations, and community giving.
