This Privacy Policy will help you understand the nature of the personal information collected by Lethbridge Lodging Association, how the information is used and with whom the information may be shared.
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time by updating this posting. Please check this Privacy Policy periodically for changes. Your continued use of this site following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will mean you accept those changes.
Information Collected by “cookies”
Like most major websites, we use cookies for some aspects of measurement of use and quality of performance of our site, particularly the way search pages are delivered.
Lethbridge Lodging Association engages third party information management service providers to help maintain efficient operations and improve delivery to the user. Because such information management service providers may access our systems, such information management service providers may have access to your information.
Lethbridge Lodging Association does not transfer or relinquish ownership of information maintained about you within Lethbridge Lodging Association systems and databases to such information management service providers but requires these information management service providers to sign confidentiality agreements to keep all confidential information and other proprietary information found in our systems confidential. Personally Identifiable Information
Lethbridge Lodging Association reserves the right to share general demographic information with advertisers or potential advertisers; however, profiles of individual users are not shared, unless users expressly request information from our members or request information from our site.
However, by providing personal information to Lethbridge Lodging Association, you acknowledge that you expressly consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information pursuant to this Privacy Policy.
If you are under 18, be sure to obtain your parent’s or guardian’s permission before you send any information about yourself (your name, address, e-mail address, etc.) to us or anyone else over the Internet. We encourage parents to get involved with their children’s online usage and to be aware of the activities in which they are participating.
Use of Personal Information
When you supply information about yourself for a specific purpose, we use the information for only that purpose (such as to provide the service or information you have requested). For example, you may be asked to give us individual information to receive information. We may store your personal information and comments for future use and reference in order to maintain an appropriate record of our relationship with you. If there are legal requirements relating to the period of time which we must retain your personal information, we will comply with those requirements.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Lethbridge Lodging Association may share any of your personal information with Lethbridge Lodging Association Affiliates or external suppliers, but only to fulfill the purposes of use as described above. Lethbridge Lodging Association will not sell or provide your personal information to any other party, unless you provide us with explicit permission to do so or unless we are compelled by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to law or to legal process served on Lethbridge Lodging Association.
App users
We do not ask that you set up an account to use the AR apps to explore the world around you. However, when you point your device and click to scan an object, we will collect and store information about you. The legal ground for processing information for this purpose is based on LLA’s legitimate interest in serving you the correct content as part of an AR experience and continuously improving our Services. This includes digital images of the people or items you scanned, your GPS location, IP address and Advertising ID.
We’ll never share that information with anyone outside of the LLA. It also includes information about how you have interacted with our Services and the AR activations, such as the time and frequency of the interactions, dwell time and the devices and operating systems used to access the activations, so we can understand more about the user journey. If the activation is connected to a client of ours, all information about AR interactions is combined and shared with them in a way that doesn’t identify any individuals, so that they can better understand the performance of the activations.
Sometimes, the AR experience will be designed to request more Personal Data from you, such as your name and email address, usually in relation to promotional activity. In each case, the purpose of the data collection and processing will be explained to you beforehand, and you will have the option of not providing the additional information.
