The Genevieve E. Yates Memorial Centre is a vibrant community theatre owned and operated by the City of Lethbridge. It serves as the home of New West Theatre, the city’s only professional theatre company, and is also available for rental events and performances. The Yates Theatre offers seating for 474 guests, while the adjacent Sterndale Bennett Studio Theatre accommodates 162.
Conveniently situated near hotels, motels, and a wide variety of restaurants, the centre is easily accessible for audiences and performers alike. Parking is available on the street and in several nearby lots, with daytime restrictions such as time limits and coin meters. Parking is free after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.
The facility is managed by Recreation & Culture which oversees venue bookings. Day-to-day operations and technical support are coordinated by the Head Technician.
