Westminster Outdoor Public Pool

The Westminster Outdoor Pool has been a cherished summer destination in the community since it was first built in 1948 by the Lions Club of Lethbridge. Rebuilt in 1978, the pool retained its original design, allowing today’s children to enjoy swimming and water play in the same setting as generations before them.

Open seasonally from Father’s Day in June until the September long weekend, the facility features a six-lane, L-shaped pool with two waterslides in the deep end, as well as a separate rectangular kiddie pool with three water fountains. A variety of programs are offered, including lane swimming, public swim times, Red Cross swimming lessons, and other recreational activities. The pool also welcomes school groups, birthday parties, and private rentals.

Additional amenities include a grassy picnic area with tables and umbrellas, an on-site concession stand, and cash-only payment (credit cards, debit cards, and cheques are not accepted; however, an ATM is available in the pool lobby). Smoking, glass containers, and pets are not permitted in the pool area.
