Your afternoon begins with an guided tour of a local Alberta Sugar Beet Growers farm from 2:00–3:00 PM, where you’ll learn how sugar beets are grown, harvested, and transformed into one of Canada’s most important agricultural products. Meet the growers, explore the fields, and gain a behind-the-scenes look at this unique industry. From 3:30–5:00 PM, enjoy a guided tour of the Picture Butte Museum, as the community celebrates its 100th anniversary. Discover the history, people, and stories that have shaped Picture Butte over the past century. The evening begins at 5:30 PM at the Picture Butte Cattlemen’s Chophouse, where you’ll indulge in a delicious farm-to-table dinner featuring local ingredients and dishes that showcase the best of Southern Alberta. Before dinner, browse our first-ever Farm-to-Table Market, featuring local businesses, and vendors offering products made with Alberta-grown ingredients- including items crafted with locally grown, and produced sugar beet sugar. It’s the perfect opportunity to shop local, meet regional producers, and celebrate the connection between Alberta’s farms and your table.
