Hailing from Chauvin, Alberta, Kris has been competing as a chuckwagon driver since 2014 and this is his first Rangeland Derby championship title! In the feature ninth heat on Sunday, Kris took an early lead and kept it all the way to the finish line with an official time of 1:13.48.

For winning Sunday’s championship dash for cash, Kris took home $50,000 and a brand-new GMC 2500 AT4 truck. His total payout (including the value of the truck) for the 10-day event was a whopping $135,200.00!
