Join the Canadian Yoga Institute for a therapeutic yoga session at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden.
Yoga therapy is the application of yoga practice to alleviate physical and mental health conditions with the view of promoting self-care and encouraging overall well-being. In yoga therapy, we use yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation and guided imagery to improve our mental and physical health. The holistic focus of yoga therapy encourages the integration of body, mind and spirit.
Yoga Therapy classes will run every Thursday beginning June 11 until September 24 from 5:30 to 6:45PM. Please meet at the Nikka Yuko Visitor's Centre by 5:15PM for registration. This is an outdoor only class, participants will be asked to space their mats 2 metres/6 feet away from other participants. Please come prepared for an outdoor experience by bringing water, sunscreen, and/or bug spray if needed.
